Educational Journey

Dr. Seth Eidemiller attended the University of Idaho, completing two bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Spanish. After earning his degrees, he returned to Boise to complete medical school prerequisites at Boise State University. He added laboratory sciences to his background (chemistry, biology, anatomy) and worked as a lab instructor and manager. He also worked in biomedical research for three years, focusing on systems biology and human health.

Work Before Medicine

Before entering the field of medicine,  Dr. Eidemiller worked in several industries. He served with the U.S. Forest Service as a wildland firefighter. He also worked in construction, where he learned practical skills in carpentry, electrical systems, and residential builds. In addition, he worked in restaurants, where he knew how to manage customer needs, multitask, and move quickly under pressure.

Medical School and Clinical Training

In 2012, Seth entered the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno. He completed four years of study, rotating through clinics and hospitals across the state. He gained experience in general medicine, pediatrics, surgery, psychiatry, and internal medicine.

Dr. Eidemiller graduated in 2016 and was matched into emergency medicine at UCSF-Fresno. This residency program placed him in one of the busiest emergency departments in California. He trained in airway management, resuscitation, central and arterial line placement, and bedside ultrasound during residency. He also practiced under the supervision of physicians who emphasized clinical accuracy and efficient communication.

While there, Dr. Eidemiller treated gunshot wounds, sepsis, cardiac arrest, blunt trauma, stroke, respiratory failure, and psychiatric emergencies. He also cared for patients with chronic conditions who lacked regular access to care.

Professional Practice

During and after completing his residency, Dr. Seth Eidemiller additionally worked at Mercy Medical Center in Merced. He handled a range of emergency presentations, and in 2020, he joined the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group.

His responsibilities grew, and so did his reach. He continued working shifts, managing patients, and coordinating care across departments. His attention to systems and clear communication made him a natural reference point within the group.

In 2024, he became Vice Chair of the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group. That role includes oversight of scheduling, operational logistics, staff support, and quality metrics. He still works clinically while guiding the physician group.

Dr. Eidemiller also maintains a connection to the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno through moonlighting shifts. These allow him to stay sharp and maintain exposure to high-acuity environments.
